Tabor City, NC
Mr. Joseph Devon Nobles, age 67, died Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Born December 8, 1951, he was the son of the late James and Josephine Nealy Nobles and the widower of Patsy Davis Nobles.
He is survived by two daughters: Tracy Cox and her husband Kenneth of Tabor City, NC and Dawn N. Ward and her husband Rodney; two sons: Jamie Todd and his wife Tara and Michael Nobles and his wife Natalie; five sisters: Joyce Tyler of Tabor City, NC, Martha Spivey of Whiteville, NC, Linda Perritte of Tabor City, NC, Beth Ann Buffkin of Tabor City, NC and Mary Lou Godwin of Tabor City, NC; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother: James H Nobles; and two grandchildren: Jacob Ryan Barnhill and Larry Ethan Barnhill.
He was a longtime member of the Columbus County Gideons and a member of Clarendon Free Will Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Myrtle Green Cemetery.
