Joseph Anthony “Joey” Kearse, age 29, of Tabor City, NC, died Saturday, June 22, 2019 in his home. Born April 18, 1990 in Mecklenburg County, NC, he was the son of Bryan Justin Kearse and Donna Jean Lanier Kearse of Tabor City, NC.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandmother: Leona S. Lanier of Tabor City, NC.
He was preceded in death by grandparents: Jacob Jerome Lanier, Rev. William S. Kearse Sr., and Edith Marie Patroni Kearse.
“Joey” was a member of Tabor City Baptist Church and in his early years was active in the church’s youth group. He had a heart to reach out to help those that were broken. He loved all types of music.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11 AM in the Forest Lawn Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery, Minos Meares Rd., Tabor City, NC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
