John (JL) Cribb Obituary

John "JL" Lewis Cribb, age 71, of Clarendon, NC died Friday, August 23, 2019 in his home. Born January 20, 1948, he was the son of the late Isham Greene and Vernie Cartrette Cribb.
He is survived by two sons: Byron Cribb and his wife Tammy of Nakina, NC and Jason Lewis Cribb and his wife Ginger of Clarendon, NC; one brother: Larry Cribb of Clarendon, NC; two sisters: Hulda Basista of Fayetteville, NC and Mona Faye Cribb of East Hampton, MA; and five grandchildren: Megan Cribb, Michelle Cribb, Jordan Cribb, Jaslynn Cribb and Sadie Cribb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Laura Sue Cribb; three brothers: KD Cribb, Dow Cribb and WC Cribb; and six sisters: Connie Simmons, Jessie Moss, Jossie Simmons, Rosie Purcell, Evelyn Greenwood and Ellen Beck.
He was a veteran of the U.S Army.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Clarendon Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
