Mr. Jennis  Turbeville, age 88, of Tabor City, NC, died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Whiteville, NC.  Born March 1, 1931, in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Wortha Howard and Sally Buffkin Turbeville.

He is survived by his wife: Patsy Adams Turbeville of the home; two daughters: Karin Conner and her husband Gene of Southport, NC and Marilyn Turbeville Dowless and her husband John W. ‘Buster’ of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; one sister: Lois Turbeville Jernigan of New Bern, NC; seven grandchildren: Tabitha Soles, Holly Buffkin, Christina Norris, Jenina Sellers, Christopher Conner, Mary Elizabeth Dowless Fairfax and John William Dowless II and four great grandchildren: Kalyn Buffkin, Seth Jacob Buffkin, Elizabeth LeAnne Griffin, and Jackson Norris.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters: Patricia Kay Phipps and Janet Nell Turbeville; five brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 6 til 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Gapway Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
