Tabor City, NC
Hazel Cartrette Hinson, age 88, died Friday, August 30, 2019 in the McLeod Loris Hospital. Born November 17, 1930 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Eddie Cartrette and Lennie Fowler Cartrette and the widow of Kermit Grant Hinson.
She is survived by two daughters: Brenda Hinson Todd of Tabor City and Myra Hinson Maness of Tabor City; seven grandchildren: Hope Todd Ringley, Mikell Todd, Jr., Charity Hinson, Richie Hinson, Faith Maness, Donnie Maness and Jeffrey Maness; fifteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son: Ricky G. Hinson; one grandson: Landon Grant Maness; five brothers: Earl Cartrette, Selmon Cartrette, Billy Cartrette, Bobby Cartrette, and Jerry Cartrette; three sisters: Ruth Sealey, Magalene Todd, and Lucille Perritte.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 2 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Clarendon Cemetery.
