Harvey Mitchell “Joe” Norris, age 72, died in his home on September 25, 2018.  He was born in Tabor City, NC on June 20, 1946.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Kitty Jo Manning Norris.  He is also survived by one daughter Tanya Michelle Norris of Tabor City.

He was a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church in Tabor City. He was very active in the church, serving as the Choir Leader. He was also owner of a Heat and Air business, Norris Service Company of Tabor City.  His hobbies included fishing and hunting.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 3 PM in the Emmanuel Holiness Church.  Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
