Frances Vereen Thompkins, age 72, of Tabor City, NC, died Thursday, August 1, 2019 in the McLeod Loris Hospital, Loris, SC. Born September 16, 1946 in Conway, SC, she was the daughter of the late Donnie and Magaline Rabon Vereen.

She is survived by her husband: Eston Thompkins of the home; three sons: Pete Smith of Concord, NC, Jeff Woody and wife Teresa of High Point, NC, and Kevin “Dabber” Thompkins and wife Miranda of Tabor City, NC; three daughters: Diane Cannon and husband Lanny of Conway, SC, Terry Woody of Tabor City, NC, Bonnie Guyton and husband Jeff of Bladenboro, NC; one sister: Peggy Suggs of Tabor City; two brothers: Kelly “Buddy” Vereen of Tabor City, NC and Leonard Gilliland of Conway, SC; twenty grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Lisa Sarvis; one grandson: Derek Bass; two sisters: Mary Ann Hardee and Grace Vereen.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Mitchell Soles Cemetery, Tabor City, NC. Visitation will be held one hour prior in the Mitchell Soles Cemetery.
