  Effie Jane Watts, age 76, died at home Monday morning (Nov. 1, 2010).  She was the widow of Sherwood Watts.  Born in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Vallery Gray and Frances Hewett Gray.

  She is survived by five daughters: Sherry Nayle, Debbie Phillips and Annette Pruitt, all of Tabor City. Lynn Watts of Lexington, N.C.; Frances Gablehouse of Clarendon, N.C.; three sons: Tony Watts, Calvin Watts and Tex Watts, all of Tabor City, N.C.; one sister: Elnita Wilson of Lexington, N.C.,twenty-five grandchildren; and thirty-six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Watts; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be Wednesday (Nov. 3, 2010) at 2 PM in the Inman Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Carolina Cemetery, Green Sea, S.C.

Visitation will be Tuesday night from 6 PM until 8 PM at Inman Funeral Home.
