Chadbourn, NC

Darryl Wayne Dudley, age 53, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in his home. Born August 15, 1963 in Craven County, NC, he was the son of George and Mary Louise Dudley of Whiteville, NC.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife: Peggy Sue Dudley of the home; two sons: Daniel Wayne and wife Allison Fipps Dudley of Raleigh, NC, Nathan Carl Dudley of Chadbourn; one grandson: Phillip Wayne Dudley of Raleigh, NC; one sister: Anita Louise and husband William Harrelson and of Whiteville, NC; paternal grandparents: Marble Simmons Dudley of Chadbourn and the late George Dudley; one niece: Jenna Harrelson of Whiteville, NC; Mother in law: Mary Lee (Peggy) McPherson of Chadbourn;  Sister in law: Vicki McPherson and husband Robert Daughtery of Wilmington, NC.

He was employed by Georgia-Pacific for 18 years and currently employed by International Paper. Working with the Boy Scouts one of his treasured pastimes for 15 years, where he served as Scoutmaster of Troop 570.

Visitation will be held at 1:30p.m, Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, 2665 Beaverdam Rd., Chadbourn, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00p.m, Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church with burial in McPherson Cemetery.
