Tabor City, NC

C  Brooks Gore, age 78, died Monday (Dec. 27, 2010) in New Hanover Hospital, Wilmington.

He was born in Columbus County, the son of the late John Swindell Gore and Dell Stocks Gore.  He was a member of Old Zion Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Levonia M. Gore of Tabor City; one son: Daylon Brooks Gore and wife Georganna of Tabor City; one brother: Hubert Gore of Lumberton, N.C. One granddaughter: Danielle Gore and fiance’ Jonathan Spivey of Tabor City. One great granddaughter: Ana Reese Fonvielle of Tabor City.

Funeral services will be Thursday (Dec. 30, 2010) at 2 PM in the Old Zion Wesleyan Church with burial in the Old Zion Cemetery, Tabor City.

Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6 until 8 PM at Inman Funeral Home.
