Billy Brooks Buffkin

Tabor City, NC 

Billy B. Buffkin, age 78, died Sunday, September 1, 2019 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC. Born in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Clayton Roy Buffkin and Hazel Norris Buffkin. 

He is survived by five daughters: Theresa Faircloth (Jamie) of Chadbourn, NC, Betty Brown of Zephyrhills, FL, Linda Oyer of Daytona Beach, FL, Lisa Dreggors of Port Orange,  FL, Hazel Winder of Port Orange, FL. Two sons, Billy Buffkin (Michelle) of Surgoinsville, TN, Dennis Bottorff of Daytona Beach, FL. Seven brothers, Donnie Buffkin, Danny Russell "Tadpole" Buffkin, Mike Buffkin, Larry Buffkin, Miles Buffkin, Glenn Buffkin, Elvis "Eddie" Buffkin. Three sisters, Barbara "Bobbie"Nobles, Patsy Carroll, Kathy Lynn Bozzo, seventeen grandchildren and thirty one  great- grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter Temperance Nikole "Nikki" Buffkin, four brothers and two sisters.  

He loved his family and fishing. 

Graveside services will be held Tuesday September 3, 2019 at 11:00AM in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City, NC. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center 206 Warrior Trail Rd. Whiteville, NC 28472
