Mr. Billy Blanton, age 83, of Carrollton, VA, born May 25, 1935 in Loris, SC and raised in Horry County, SC, died Monday, January 21, 2019, in his home. He was the son of the late Sammy and Matha Blanton.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Blanton; two daughters: Debbie Cratch and husband Samuel and Ranee Blanton-Clifford and husband Mark; sister in-law: Judy McPherson, who he treated like a daughter; two brothers: Jack Blanton and J.P. Blanton; and one sister: Matha Causey.
He will always be remembered for the compassion, kindness and generosity he showed to those who’s paths he crossed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters, and a son in-law Keith Bales.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11 AM in the Patterson Cemetery, Loris, SC.
