Betty Murl Williamson Fipps, age 86, of Tabor City, NC, died Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in Shoreland Healthcare in Whiteville, NC. Born October 20, 1932 in Horry County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grover Zebedee Williamson and Lila Gay Williamson and the widow of F.L. Fipps III.
She is survived by three sons: Brian Fipps of Tabor City, NC, Bradford Fipps and wife Pam of Liberty, SC, and Brett Fipps and wife Jill of Nashville, NC; two grandchildren: Laura Bryson and husband Scott of Concord, NC and David Fipps and wife Detra of Greenville, SC.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by granddaughter: Kendyl Fipps; two brothers: Grover Zebedee Williamson, Jr. and Ronald Williamson; and one sister: Eloyce Little.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Old Soles Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
