Bessie (Sellers) Stewart

Bessie Sellers Stewart, age 94, of Whiteville, NC, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in her home.  Born November 14, 1924 in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late B.K. Sellers and Beulah Fowler Sellers.

She is survived by two sons: Jerry Stewart of Whiteville, NC and Dale Stewart and wife Patricia of Chadbourn, NC; one brother: Thurston Sellers of Bladenboro, NC; one sister: Earleen Sellers of Whiteville, NC; three grandchildren: Jonathan Stewart of Myrtle Beach, SC, Angelique Batten of Chadbourn, NC and Timmy Stewart of Chadbourn, NC; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband: Robert Stewart; three brothers: Earl Sellers, Dewey Sellers and Bruce Sellers; and two sisters: Inez Sellers and Doshie Pope.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 4, 2019 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
