Annie Ruth James age 75 died Saturday July 6, 2019 in Columbus Regional Medical Center, Whiteville, NC. Born in Columbus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Dock Phillips and Rosa Belle Richardson Phillips.
She is survived by her husband, William Clyde James of Tabor City, NC. One son, Donald Earl James and wife Debbie of Loris, SC. One brother, Jerry Phillips of Tabor City, NC, four sisters: Brenda Soles of Tabor City, NC, Linda Soles of Tabor City, NC, Ann Locklear of Tabor City, NC, Tina Ward of Bladenboro, NC; two grandchildren: Rhonda Marie Norris of Tabor City, NC, Ashley Leigh McPherson of Dalton, GA.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Avonda Marie Norris, one granddaughter, Marie Gail Norris, three brothers: Jimmy Phillips, Joe Phillips, Billy Phillips, and one sister, Betty Avant.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday July 9, 2019 at 11:00AM in the Coleman Cemetery, Tabor City, NC. Family will receive friends one hour prior at the cemetery.
