Mrs. Peggy Jean Howton Norris, age 75 of Carolina Avenue, Bolton, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in her home.  Born August 7, 1940 in Tuscaloosa, AL, she was the daughter of the late J.D. Howton and Glenn Avis Skelton and the widow of Gene Clifton Norris, Sr.

She is survived by two sons Teddy Wedgeworth, William Wedgeworth both of St. Petersburg, FL; one daughter: Marilyn Owen of Fall River, MA; two step children: Gene Clifton Norris II of Hampstead, NC, Kevin Norris of Tabor City, NC; two brothers: Thomas Howton, Kenneth Howton both of Tuscaloosa, AL; four sisters: Glenda Killinger of Franklin, PA, Patricia Christian of Birmingham, AL, Theresa Olson of Smyrna, TN, Rhonda McGuff of Tuscaloosa, AL; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 3 PM in the Bolton, United Methodist Church, Bolton, NC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.
