Mildred Watts Russ, age 94, died Friday, January 26, 2018 in McLeod Loris Hospital, Loris, SC. Born in Columbus County, NC she was the daughter of the late Fred Melvin Watts and Ruthie Mae Norris Watts and the widow of Jesse E. Russ.
She is survived by one daughter: Evelyn Russ Buffkin and husband, Leon of Kissimmee, FL: one son: Eldon Russ and wife, Linda of Greer, SC; two grandchildren: Kirstin Russ of Weaverville, NC and Dr. Kimberly Russ Stephenson and husband, Dr. Jason Stephenson of Hartselle, Al; three great-grandchildren: Josie Stephenson, Russ Stephenson and Eleanor Stephenson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Elaine Russ Doby; one brother: Clayton Watts; one sister: Myrtie Watts Spivey.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
