Tabor City, NC

Maurice Lynn Spivey age 64 died Friday in Columbus Regional Hospital, Whiteville, NC. Born in Horry County, SC he was the son of the late Marvin Spivey and Brookie Hardee Spivey of Tabor City.  

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Elsa Ann Spivey. Three daughters: Angela Renee Spivey of Ashboro, NC Rhonda Michelle Spivey of Fayetteville, NC Maxie Spivey McPherson of Chadbourn, NC. One son: Christopher Maurice Spivey of Whiteville, NC.  Five step children: Preston Sasser of Tabor City, Timothy Sasser of Tabor City, Michael Sasser of Tabor City, Jonathan Long of Tabor City, Crystal Wilkes of Lumberton. Two brothers: Randy Spivey and Michael Spivey both of Chadbourn, NC. Two sisters: Kay Spivey of Whiteville, NC Renee Sellers of Tabor City and eleven grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Britney Long.  

 Services will be held Monday at 11:00AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel Tabor City, NC with burial to follow in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.  

Family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00PM till 9:00PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Tabor City, NC.
