Mary “Lorene” Norris Spivey, age 81, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away at 8:05 PM EST on September 19, 2017.  Born December 1, 1935 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. Norris and Pearlie Russ Norris.  She was a native of Tabor City, NC and attended the Tabor City schools.  Lorene is survived by her husband, Berkley “Dwain”, of more than sixty two years, her daughter, Norris Spivey Howell and her husband Dean of Locust Grove, GA, one son, Alfred “Al” Spivey and his wife Dee of Memphis, TN.  She has three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach, SC. 

A casual visitation will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 1 PM to 2 PM in the First Baptist Church of North Myrtle Beach, 200 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC.  A memorial service will follow at 2 PM in the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC  28472.
