Mr. Jesse Raymond Singletary, age 84, Whiteville, NC, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 in the McLeod Loris Hospital.  Born January 7, 1932 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Jessie Alton and Ruth Ward Singletary.

He is survived by three brothers: Paul Singletary of York, SC, Robert Singletary of York, SC, Weldon Singletary of Whiteville; three sisters: Reba Faye Smith of Whiteville, Lois Small of Whiteville, and Mildred Harper of Tabor City.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother: Charles Edward Singletary.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City, NC.  Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.
