Whiteville, NC

Mrs. Hazel Tyree, age 74, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 in her home.  Born November 21, 1941 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Dawson and Maude Worley Cartrette.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers: Robert Lee Cartrette and Vernon Cartrette, Jr.

She is survived by her husband: Norman Tyree of Whiteville; one sister: Mabel (Billy) Cribb of Whiteville; three nieces: Aneshia Cribb (Greg) Ward, Lori Lynn Cartrette, Lynda Cartrette Hutto; two nephews: Joey D. (Morgan) Cribb, Lennie Cartrette; and many special great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11 AM in the Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church, Chadbourn, NC.  Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC. 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
