Chadbourn, N.C.

Mr. Harold Dean Cartrette, age 70, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center, Whiteville, NC.  Born January 26, 1946 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Dewey Avery Cartrette and Evelyn Duncan Cartrette.

He is survived by his wife: Marlene Blackman Cartrette of the home; one son: Chad Cartrette of Chadbourn; one sister: Iris Cartrette McEwen of Clarkton; two grandchildren: Leanne Gail Cartrette, Chadwick Lee Cartrette, Jr.; two step grandchildren: Justin Taylor, Grayson Meares; and two step great grandchildren: Bryson Taylor, and Tenley Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter: Deana Cartrette; and one brother: Dewey Delane Cartrette.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church, Chadbourn, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 11 AM in the Beaverdam Original Freewill Baptist Church, Chadbourn, NC.  Burial will follow in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn, NC.
