Mrs. Gladys Obera Stanley Mills age 95 died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in the Liberty Commons Nursing Center, Whiteville, N.C.  Born January 3, 1920 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Emerson Stanley and Vira Tula Hinson Stanley. 

She is survived by one brother: Selmon Stanley of Clarendon; two sisters: Retha June Nichols of Chadbourn, and Loraine Bullock of Chadbourn: and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Malcolm Lee Mills; four brothers: Hubert Stanley, Paul Stanley, Homer Stanley, Cecil Stanley; three sisters: Estelle Jayroe, Lucille Cox, and Dot Elkin.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.  Burial will follow in the Stanley Cemetery, Mollie Rd, Clarendon.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sweet Home Baptist Church, 17059 Peacock Rd., Chadbourn, NC 28431.
