Carolina Shores, NC

Frances Mildred Gore Worthy, 90, of Carolina Shores, NC, passed away at home on January 18, 2017.  Mildred was born April 24, 1926 to the late Jim C. and Eva Long Gore of Nakina, NC.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Worthy, her sister Letha Kay Gore Rossi, and her brother Hubert Gore. Mildred loved to fish, and also enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.  She was blessed to be a member of a large extended family, and is survived by her daughter, Frances Worthy Stephens, her sister, Hester Gore Simmons, her step-sister, Linda (Frank) Collins, her step-brother Ray (Betty) Shelley, and her sisters-in-law Elaine Shelly and Jesse Ruth Worthy, along with many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held at Inman Ward Funeral Home in Tabor City NC on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m.  A graveside service will be held at Happy Home Baptist Church in Nakina, NC on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. 

Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Happy Home Baptist Church, 2670 Happy Home Church Rd, Nakina, NC.
