Frances Ann Cartrette Hewett age 79 died Saturday February 10, 2018 in her home. Born in Columbus County, NC she was the daughter of the late Jessie James Cartrette and Annie Mae Cribb Cartrette. She was the widow of Donald Hewett.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Polly Ann Cartrette Hinson, one son- in- law James Barnes.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Hewett Miley and husband Harmon of Hallsboro, NC., Donna Hewett Barnes of Whiteville, NC. One brother, T.M. Cartrette of Clarendon, NC., One sister, Idella McPherson of Clarendon, NC. Three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 13, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Free Welcome Christian Church in the Sellerstown Community, Whiteville, NC. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
Visitation will be held Monday February 12, 2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
