Nakina, NC

Clara Gibson Ward, age 65, of Seven Creeks Hwy, Nakina, NC, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.  Born December 13, 1951 in Sumter, SC, she was the daughter of the late James S. Gibson, Sr. and Myrtle Billups Gibson and the widow of Gary Lynn Ward.

She is survived by three daughters: Emily (Ben) Arledge of Whiteville, NC, Stephanie Jennings of Nakina, NC, Roxanne Brinson of Blythewood, SC; one son: Casey (Santana) Brinson of Chadbourn, NC; two brothers: Jack Gibson of Sumter, SC, Jim Gibson of Beaufort, SC; three sisters: Kathy Murdock of Manning, SC, Marie Beaver of Charleston, WV, Elaine Secriest of Winona, WV; twelve grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2 PM in the Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church.
