Tabor City, NC

Mr. Charles William Drake, age 85, died Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. Born December 11, 1930 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Max Drake and Madeline Genter Drake.

He is survived by his wife: Joyce Swaney Drake of Tabor City, NC; two sons: Matthew C. Drake of Jacksonville, NC, Craig W. Drake of Newport, NC; one daughter: Jennifer Drake Sullivan of Jacksonville, NC; two brothers: Richard Drake of Palm Bay, FL, Larry Drake of Ithaca, NY, and two grandchildren. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 1 PM to 2 PM in the Tabor City Baptist Church.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2 PM in the Tabor City Baptist Church.
