Tabor City, N.C.

Mr. Billy Ray Blackwell age 67, died Monday, December 7, 2015 in his home.  Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Howard James Blackwell and Ola Jane Spivey Blackwell.

He is survived by one daughter: Kristie Lynette Blackwell of Green Sea, SC; two brothers: C M Blackwell of Cerro Gordo, James Blackwell of Hallsboro; one sister: Carolann Blackwell of Hallsboro; three grandchildren: Amber English, Harley English, Savannah English; and one great grandchild: Austen Owens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 3 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, Tabor City.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
