Benny Eugene “Pee-Wee” Smith Jr., age 43, died Saturday, May 14, 2016. Born October 18, 1972 in Horry County, he was the son of Kay Bennett and the late Benny Eugene Smith Sr.

In addition to his mother his is survived by his wife Tanya Clark Smith of Tabor City; one son: Benny Eugene Smith III “Trey” of Tabor City; one daughter Acie Smith of Tabor City; one brother: Lonnie Ray Hewett of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters: Crystal Hewitt Perkins of Greenville, NC, Kelly Suzanne Hewett of North Myrtle Beach, SC; step grandfather: Willie Brown of Bolivia, NC; and a grandmother: Lizzie Mae Smith of Tabor City.

In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his grandfathers: Elderidge Smith and Jonathan Levon Bennett; and a grandmother Charllotte Brown. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM  in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City, NC

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 AM in the Pireway Freewill Baptist Church, Tabor City, NC. Burial will follow in the Pireway Methodist Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
