It was very sad to learn of Barry's passing. For the 30 years we knew each other, he was always a good friend and I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with you on this sad day.

A Talk with God
I had a talk with God last night
Of realms and diadems
Of those gone on before me
Of angels and their hymns

I longed to waken in that place
Within the peace I knew
Then warmth filled all my being
And up, away I flew

You see, I could not compromise
Who I was to be
I could not stay for you
Without losing all of me

I was born to be of purpose
And to myself be true
I could not change the man I was
Although I did love you

I saw myself within your eyes
My life, my hopes, my dreams
But God has plans beyond our thoughts
Beyond our worldly schemes

Today I have new purpose
Today I've found new love
I stand upon a higher plain
Worlds and worlds above

So do not cry for me my friends
I asked and I received
Today, without restriction
I've not a single need

Healed from all affliction
Strength beyond all time
Because I had that talk with God
Eternity is mine
