Ash, NC 

Barbara C. Howard age 72 died Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Shallotte Assisted Living.  Born December 14, 1942 in Cabarrus County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Canupp and Virginia Mott Canupp. 

She is survived by her life companion: Jim David Smith of Ash, two step daughters: Sharon Elmore of Shallotte, Lisa Trejo and husband Alejandro of Ash; five grandchildren: Justin David Smith, Catalina Smith, Alejandro Trejo, Bryan Streeter, Terri Streeter; and one great grandchild: Kerrie Streeter.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Richard Howard.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 11 AM in the Smith Cemetery, Longwood Rd., Ash, NC.
