Archie "Edward" Spivey

Archie E. Spivey, age 69, died Monday, January 22, 2018, in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.  Born July 9, 1948 in Columbus County, NC, he as the son of the late Archie Joffie Spivey and Norma Lee Spivey. 

He is survived by his wife: Donna Lewis Spivey of the home; four sons: Joe Spivey of Fairmont, NC, Terry Spivey of Lumberton, NC, John Spivey of Whiteville, NC, James Spivey of Ash, NC; two daughters: Tammy Spivey of Whiteville, NC, Wendy Hamilton of Whiteville, NC; two brothers: Paul Ray Spivey of Whiteville, NC, Monroe Spivey of Whiteville, NC; two sisters: Joyce Ward of Whiteville, NC, Phyllis Prince of Whiteville, NC; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother: Danny Wayne Spivey; and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 3 PM in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Cerro Gordo, NC.  Burial will follow in the Wright Cemetery on Minos Meares Road.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City.
